About the College history

In 1928 British paediatricians attended the first meeting of the British Paediatric Association (BPA), pictured below. In 1996, the association received Royal College status. We provide a brief history, with links to our blogs for more insight.

We preserve and enable access to records of our history as the British Paediatric Association (BPA) and a Royal College, and to the history of child health. We have an online catalogue of our historical archives as well as a library collection of books and reports.
